Steam cleaning vs. Low Moisture/Chemical Cleaning

This is a topic that is debated daily. What is the best method? Let me just say this. It comes down to personal choice for the consumer. Some people love steam cleaning also known as Hot Water Extraction (HWE). Others prefer low moisture cleaning also referred to as chemical cleaning by some of my customers. Both of these methods have their place and both can achieve excellent results.
I have been cleaning carpets for 18 years and have always done low moisture cleaning. I have done some HWE as well. I find that the quick drying times that low moisture cleaning achieves (typically only taking a couple hours to dry) is what attracts alot of my customers to use us. Also, the green products we use has attracted more and more new customers as well. I find myself all over the valley cleaning carpets for new customers that had always used HWE in their home. After I demo an area to show the customer what their carpet will look like they are usually amazed at the results and how dry the carpet fibers are. The nice thing is, the method and cleaning agent that ChemBright uses is water based so it doesn't attract any dirt and also green so it is safe for kids and pets.
Before you hire a carpet cleaner. Look into what type of method they use and find out which one you prefer. Ask alot of questions as well.
